F.lli Branca S.p.a. was founded in Terme Vigliatore in 1892. In the first family-run workshops, citrate and lemon essential oil were produced. The derivatives were obtained manually, using the traditional 'sponge' extraction method. Following the successes achieved, the company decided to integrate its activities with the processing of oranges and mandarins for the production of juices, concentrates, essential oils and peels, both diced and dried.
Focusing on technological innovation, with constant investments in the modernisation of the production process, we continue to valorise the citrus fruits of our territory, respecting the renowned Sicilian citrus tradition.
Our premises in Terme Vigliatore occupy an area of around 50,000 square metres. 20,000 square metres are covered and fitted out with new generation equipment for processing lemons, oranges and mandarins: the traditional extractors pelatrice, spellalbedo, sfumatrice, presses, the latest In-Line extractors, decanters, centrifuges, pasteurisers, steamers equipped with aroma recovery, distillers, deterpenators, ultrafiltration plant, aseptic packaging, dicing machines, peel dryers, cold stores.
